Guillem Cazassus’s talk cancelled on 31/01/2023

Unfortunately, Guillem Cazassus has had to cancel his trip and so will not be speaking in the seminar on 31/01/2023. We will find a date later in the term for his vist.

Guillem Cazassus to speak in geometry seminar 31/01/2023

Unfortunately this talk is postponed, along with the rest of Guillem’s visit. We will rearrange for later in the term.

Guillem Cazassus (Oxford) will talk in the geometry seminar at 11am in the Salle des Profs on 31/01/2023. Note the unusual time! This talk is part of an Oxbridge double bill, with Jack Smith’s talk following in the afternoon at our usual time of 2pm. Guillem’s title is “Hamiltonian actions on Floer homology and Fukaya categories” and his abstract is below.

Jack Smith to talk in geometry seminar 31/01/2023

Jack Smith (Cambridge) will speak in the geometry seminar at 2pm in the Salle des Profs (9th floor, building NO) on 31/01/2023. Note we expect to have two seminars on this day, with Guillem Cazassus speaking at 11am in the morning. More news on Guillem’s talk when we have it! Jack’s title is “Generating the Fukaya category via enriched coefficients” and his abstract is below.

(Note Guillem’s talk has now been postponed to a later date.) Jack’s talk will go ahead as planned!

The department of mathematics is in building NO, on the Campus de la Plaine, of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The geometry group is on the 7th floor. This page has a map of the campus as well as information on how to reach it via public transport. See the STIB website for more information on public transport in Brussels.

The department of mathematics is in building NO, on the Campus de la Plaine, of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The geometry group is on the 7th floor. This map shows NO, as well as the metro station Delta and entrance 2, which is right by the stop for the number 71 and 72 buses. The number 95 also stops a short walk from the department. See the STIB website for more information on public transport in Brussels.
