15-12-20Casey Kelleher (Princeton)

Casey Kelleher will talk on 15th December, at 1.45pm UK time, or 2.45pm Belgian time. Casey’s title is “Gap theorem results in Yang-Mills theory“. The abstract is below.

Gap theorem results in Yang-Mills theory

We discuss results concerning the space of Yang–Mills connections on vector bundles over compact 4 dimensional Riemannian manifolds. In particular, we discuss a conformally invariant gap theorem for Yang-Mills connections obtained by exploiting an associated Yamabe-type problem. We also discuss a bound for the index in terms of its energy which is conformally invariant, which captures the sharp growth rate. This is joint work with M. Gursky and J. Streets.
