Postdoc in geometry at Imperial College London

Below is an announcement about a postdoctoral position available at Imperial College London.

A 3-year postdoc position (RA) in Geometry is available at Imperial College London, to start no later than 1 October 2017. The position is funded as part of the Simons Foundation Collaboration on Special Holonomy in Geometry, Analysis and Physics.

The Collaboration consists of 10 Principal Investigators around the world and a larger group of academics, postdocs and PhD students, who will work together on the study of Riemannian manifolds with special holonomy, particularly Calabi-Yau manifolds and 7- and 8-manifolds with holonomy G2 and Spin(7), their calibrated submanifolds, and gauge theory and instantons on them, and their connections with String and M-theory. The Collaboration has a dedicated website.

The RA will work directly with Professor Mark Haskins on projects in the broad areas of the Collaboration, and within Professor Haskins’ research interests.

The department of mathematics is in building NO, on the Campus de la Plaine, of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The geometry group is on the 7th floor. The department of mathematics is in building NO, on the Campus de la Plaine, of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The geometry group is on the 7th floor. This map shows NO, as well as the metro station Delta and entrance 2, which is right by the stop for the number 71 and 72 buses. The number 95 also stops a short walk from the department.
