Jakob Stein to talk in geometry seminar 16/11/2022

Jakob Stein will talk online in the geometry seminar, on Teams at 2pm on 16/11/2022. Jakob’s title is “New G2-instantons on non-compact G2-manifolds with symmetries” and his abstract is below.

We will discuss an upcoming joint work, with Matt Turner (Bath), classifying spaces of G2- instantons on the Bryant-Salamon metric on the spinor bundle of the 3-sphere satisfying certain boundary conditions, using co-homogeneity one techniques of Lotay-Oliveira and the deformation theory of Driscoll.

Getting here

The department of mathematics is in building NO, on the Campus de la Plaine, of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The geometry group is on the 7th floor. This map shows NO, as well as the metro station Delta and entrance 2, which is right by the stop for the number 71 and 72 buses. The number 95 also stops a short walk from the department.
