Cristiano Spotti (Aarhus University) will speak in the geometry seminar on the 14th November. The talk will take place in the Salle de Profs (9th floor, NO) at 13.30pm. Cristiano’s title is “Kähler-Einstein metrics via moduli continuity method.” and the abstract is below.
Understanding explicitly which Fano varieties in a given family admit Kähler-Einstein metrics (equivalently, are K-polystable) is an important question in Kähler geometry. In this talk, based on work in collaboration with Song Sun, I describe how some recent developments on relations between formations of non-collapsed singularities for limits of Kähler-Einstein metrics and “stability” of klt singularities can be used to study the Kähler-Einstein existence problem for concrete Fano families in any dimension.
