Funding available for Hitchin70 in Madrid

The organisers of the Madrid leg of Hitchin70 have financial support for local expenses, especially for young participants. More information is in their email below.

Hitchin70: Celebrating 30 years of Higgs bundles and 15 years of generalized geometry

This event, in celebration of Nigel Hitchin’s 70th birthday and in honour of his contributions to mathematics, is part of larger activity that will take place across three locations during the period 5-16 September 2016. It will begin in Aarhus (5-8 Sep 2016), continue in Oxford (9-11 Sep 2016) and end in Madrid (12-16 Sep 2016).

The Madrid event will celebrate 30 years of Higgs bundles and 15 years of generalized geometry. It will start around 14:30 on Monday 12th of September and will end by 13:30 on Friday 16th of September.

The department of mathematics is in building NO, on the Campus de la Plaine, of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The geometry group is on the 7th floor. The department of mathematics is in building NO, on the Campus de la Plaine, of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The geometry group is on the 7th floor. This map shows NO, as well as the metro station Delta and entrance 2, which is right by the stop for the number 71 and 72 buses. The number 95 also stops a short walk from the department. See the STIB website for more information on public transport in Brussels.
