Algebraic geometry: old and new, a conference in Oxford, 26-30 September

There will be a CMI workshop held at the University of Oxford, entitled “Algebraic Geometry: Old and New”, from Monday 26th September to Friday 30th September, 2016. Details can be found at the conference webpage. Below is the original announcement, from Miles Read.

The Workshop focuses on related old topics in algebraic geometry that are transformed by a recent new point of view, and new topics that have applications to old problems. Some of the themes that will feature are: Fano manifolds, special metrics and moduli; stable objects in derived categories; applications of mirror symmetry.

REGISTRATION: please email Naomi Kraker, providing the name of your institution. Students please also provide a letter of reference from your supervisor.

FUNDING: A limited number of rooms is available for students and early career researchers. For more information email Naomi Kraker.
