The differential geometry group at the Université libre de Bruxelles is looking to recruit two postdoctoral researchers.
The posts are for 2 years, with the possibility to renew for an extra year. The positions have no teaching requirements attached. The start date is negotiable, but must be before 30th December 2019.
We welcome all candidates with a PhD in differential geometry. Expertise in any of the following areas would be helpful: symplectic topology, Riemannian geometry, foliations, h-principles, geometric analysis.
The positions are funded by an “Excellence of Science” grant, titled “Symplectic techniques in differential geometry”. The successful candidates will be expected to collaborate on problems related to this as well as pursue their own research projects.
Candidates should send the following documents to Joel Fine (email@example.com). Your research documents should be intelligible to a general differential geometer, who may not be an expert in your domain.
- CV including list of publications
- Summary of research accomplished (3 pages max)
- Research project (3 pages max)
- The names of three referees who must send their letters directly to Joel Fine (firstname.lastname@example.org) before the deadline.
The deadline for applications is 31st January 2019.
