The abstract is below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gap theorem results in Yang-Mills theory<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>We discuss results concerning the space of Yang&#8211;Mills connections on vector bundles over compact 4 dimensional Riemannian manifolds. In particular, we discuss a&nbsp;conformally invariant gap theorem for Yang-Mills connections obtained by exploiting an associated Yamabe-type problem. We also discuss&nbsp;a bound for the index in terms of its energy which is conformally invariant, which captures the sharp growth rate. This is joint work with M. Gursky and J.
