Romain Saunier (Toulouse) will talk in the geometry seminar on 1st December, at 2pm in the Salle des Profs (9th floor building NO). Romain’s title is “Embedded Contact Homology for monotone toric domains” and his abstract is below.
One goal of symplectic topology is to find global obstructions to symplectic embeddings. An example of such obstruction are the ECH capacities for domains in dimension 4, based on the Embedded contact Homology (ECH) of their border. In this talk, I will explain how we can compute the ECH chain complex in a combinatorial way for the boundary of some toric domains called monotone toric domains ; and how it can be used to compute some ECH capacities of these domains.
